In January of 2003, the Hinton City Council entered into an agreement to
develop the Marrland Heights fourth and sixth editions. This development will
include 10 commercial lots and 13 residential lots. The residential lots will be
designed to promote moderate income housing in an endeavor to attract new
couples and families to the community. Six of the ten commercial lots will have
Highway 75 exposure.
The development of services to these lots will be this spring. Written bids may
be submitted to the City Council for both the commercial and residential lots.
The Hinton City Council believes there are many reasons to build in our community, including:
Low Plymouth County Taxes
Location of busy Highway 75
Growing residential and commercial community
Within minutes of a major metro area
Excellent school system
High level of school spirit and pride
Progressive city government
"Neighborhood" Community
Take time to drive through our friendly community and see for yourselves the many new activities taking place.
